Biographie
Enkelin des indischen Freiheitskämpfers, Anwalts und ehemaligen Justizmitarbeiters Rajni Patel, Amisha, ein Zwilling, wurde im Breach Candy Hospital in Bombay geboren. Sie trägt den Spitznamen Engel und Prinzessin. Ihr jüngerer Bruder Ashmit Patel ist auch ein Bollywood-Filmschauspieler und ihr Name ist eine Mischung aus den ersten drei Buchstaben des Namens ihres Vaters Amit und den letzten drei Buchstaben des Namens ihrer Mutter Asha.
Sie studierte an der Cathedral und der John Connon High School in Bombay und erwarb einen Abschluss in Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, USA. Nach ihrem Abschluss arbeitete sie für eine Finanzgesellschaft und modellierte auch an der Seite.
