Tag line, "an ordinary girl in extrodinary circumstances" -- this thriller directed by Meghna Gulzar stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Based upon a true story, this is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka's novel "Calling Sehmat", about a Kashmiri spy married to a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. It depicts the journey of an 20 year old Indian girl in dramatic and trying circumstances. Sehmat (Aalia Bhatt), is sent to Pakistan in 1971 before the outbreak of war, to source out any information she can, as tensions between India and Pakistan rise towards the boiling point.
